DECADE OF DECEPTIONEnormous forces under the guise of "evange-lism" are transforming all of Christendom that matters into Satan's agency for eventual ecumenical union through the ONE WORLD CHURCH and its ultimate global union OIKOUMENE or ONE WORLD. EVANGELISM is a time-honoured Gospel term which means the turning of men in "repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21). It is the final commandment of our Lord before His ascension when He said, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe whatsoever I have commanded you" (Matt 28:20). The fundamentals of the Gospel message are clearly and fully recorded in the Holy Scripture. Here we list only a few of the key passages for the reader's reference:
John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Rom 10:8-17; Evangelism without the Gospel message saves nobody. A perverted message is abominable to God. We are warned in His Word, "If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." The curse on unauthorized and unbiblical evangelism is pronounced twice (Gal 1:8,9). Perversion of the Gospel Message Satan only seeks to pervert the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospel message is perverted if
b) clear Biblical teachings are omitted or ignored. In either case the perverted message is no longer the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, but is become "another gospel" (Gal 1:6,7), a counterfeit Satanic perversion. The Gospel message is safeguarded by Bible doctrine, also called "the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3). The true servant of Jesus Christ is commanded to "earnestly contend", i.e. to guard jealously and defend it at all costs against Satanic attack and subversion. God's Work Must Be Done God's Way God has given us only one commandment (Matt 28:18-20) by which we must evangelize the world. The task is enormous and the church is unequal to the task. Our Lord's words are so true: "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few" (Matt 9:37). What must we do? The Lord of the harvest Himself supplies the answer: "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth labourers into his harvest" (Matt 9:38). Our part is to pray and to go. We are called to preach and teach the Word, baptize those who believe (Mk 16:15,16), and indoctrinate them to observe "whatsoever things I have commanded you" (Matt 28:20). This is a very demanding and responsible task. Note carefully: EVANGELISM is not on men's terms or by men's ways. To do so is to betray the Gospel mandate. God has given us clear and inviolable guidelines, non-negotiable instructions.
EVANGELISM IS HIS WORK. WE ARE MERELY SERVANTS. That being so, in evangelism, the faithful servant of God must on no account, under any circumstances, and for any plausible argument, enter into partnership, association, or cooperation with those who do not preach the true Gospel message, who subscribe to a perverted or contaminated "gospel". They are enemies of the cross of Christ (Phil 3:18). We cannot evangelize by joining forces with God's enemies. AD 2000 Evangelism This is the greatest deception since the Reformation. Some may say naively, "What has that to do with me?" The fact is the ecumenical machine once fully set in motion will not leave anyone alone. Eventually it will demand and receive universal allegiance and submission. Therefore, be forewarned. AD 2000 Evangelism is already on the move. The world's evangelical leaders have formulated plans for world evangelization on a global scale, Their high level decisions will shortly be translated into far reaching actions affecting all of Christendom, for AD 2000 Evangelism is working hand in hand with Evangelization 2000, the Vatican's counterpart and strategy for world domination. Our chief concern is with developments in the evangelical world. Momentous happenings at the top will have profound consequences for all Christians. Who are the men "at the top" who direct and determine the path of evangelicalism in the years ahead ? Dr Billy Graham Without a doubt, the universally recognized leader of the evangelicals, and indeed, of all Protestants, is Dr Billy Graham. In his 40 years' ministry he has risen to global eminence and respectability. He is the undisputed spokesman of evangelical Christianity. The respect and worship which he commands is such as to confer on him an aura of near infallibility. Every word which falls from his lips carries enormous weight. Only a very brave man, nay, a fool, will dispute what Dr Graham says. Nevertheless, let us be fools for Christ's sake (1 Cor 4:10), only let our witness be true. In 1974 Dr Graham convened a meeting of world evangelical leaders in Lausanne, Switzerland. From it arose the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization (COWE) and the Lausanne Movement, with various regional and national ramifications which advance the cause of World Evangelism according to the direction from the top. Singapore Consultation on World Evangelization January 1989, for four days some 300 Christian leaders from 50 countries met in Singapore to formulate strategy for a global evangelistic effort in the "Decade of Evangelism" - the nineties. Cooperation and partnership were seen as" absolute necessities if the Great Commission is going to be fulfilled by the year 2000" - Great Commission Manifesto. Most significant is the composition of the participating groups which included repre-sentatives of
b) the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization c) Campus Crusade for Christ d) World Vision International e) Roman Catholic Church. Manila Congress on World Evangelization, July 1989 Under the patronage of its founder Dr Billy Graham, Chairman Dr Leighton Ford welcomed the 4,000 participants to the Lausanne II Congress on World Evangelization. Participating groups included
b) representatives of the Vatican ; c) the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines ; d) the Orthodox Church ; and e) Charismatic groups. "We affirm that cooperation in evangelism is indispensible, first because it is the will of God, but also because the gospel of reconciliation is discredited by our disunity, and because if the task of world evangelization is ever to be accomplished, we must engage in it together. 'Cooperation' means finding unity in diversity. It involves people of different ... national churches and mission agencies... working together." Lausanne II Points the Way Make no mistake: Lausanne II, Manila 1989, has charted the course for the world's evangelicals for the nineties. Dr Billy Graham and his followers have set their seal of approval on the liberals and modernists of the World Council, on the Roman Catholic Church, and on the Charismatics. Together with the evangelicals they will evangelize the world with their twin programmes: AD 2000 Evangelism and Evangelization 2000 In the words of Congress Chairman Dr Leighton Ford: "The policy of Lausanne is to build bridges, not walls." The Message of AD 2000 Evangelism In one fell stroke, the evangelicals of Lausanne have agreed to enter into partnership and cooperation with the liberals and modernists of the WCC, the Roman Catholics, and the Charismatics - each with their erroneous doctrines and heretical teachings - "another gospel'' of Gal 1:6-9. The spirit of Lausanne is to "build bridges, not walls". With one voice the ecumenical evangelists are saying, "We must forget our doctrinal differences and join forces to evangelize the world for Christ by AD 2000." More and more the ordinary Christians, untaught and misinformed, are imbibing the ecumenical poison that "doctrine divides, love unites", and truth matters little. Slowly but surely, truth and doctrine will give way to "another gospel" which is no gospel at all, but a perversion of the message of salvation, a Satanic deception, a "counterfeit gospel" which only leads men to eternal destruction. All this will be done in the cause of "unity". This departure from the truth, the "falling away" was foretold by the Apostle Paul in 2 Thess 2:3.
Satan's end time deception code-named AD 2000 Evangelism has come upon the Church at large. No man can stop it, but woe unto those who have a part in it. The Decade of Evangelism declared by the churches is the Decade of Deception. God's Word commands all true believers, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them" (Eph 5:11). "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord" (2 Cor 6:17).
