Be a WINNER !

As the runner races through the final turn, he concentrates all his efforts on one goal: crossing the finish line first. Years of daily training and exercise have prepared him for this moment. With a final burst of energy, he passes his last contender and breaks through the ribbon, a winner!

The crow cheers wildly. From the grandstands we pulled for him every step of the way. Now we celebrate his victory along with him.

Winning is an important ingredient of life for all of us. But you don't have to take home a gold medal to enjoy the thrill of personal victory. God wants you be a winner today. He wants you to be all you were meant to be; to enjoy it is really meant to be lived.

There is so much more to life than you may realize. You can walk and talk and eat and breathe, but without knowing God, you're not totall alive. Only God has the power to actualize your full potential.

The secret is putting God first in your life. No champion athlete ever succeeded without someone to guide and train him. How much more do you and I need to turn to our Creator for direction and the power to not merely exist but to really live.

Jesus Christ wants to give you this kind of life the moment you put your faith in Him. He told His followers that He came to earth "that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" By that He meant that He wants to give you purpose and joy in your life. But first He wants to free y from the sin and self-will that separates you from God. You see, Jesus suffered and died in your place, on the cross, then arose again and so defeated death-the greatest victory of all.

Life at its very best-filled with God's power and direction-will be yours if you will turn to Christ. The Bible promises that whoever believes on Him has "everlasting life" and shall receive remission (forgiveness) of sins" If you refuse Him, you will be a loser for all eternity.

Today you can become a winner by believing that Jesus Christ took your place on the Cross so that your sins can be forgiven, and rose from the dead so that you can have new life.

If you believe this, confess to God that you have sinned and that you want Jesus Christ to be your Saviour. He's ready to answer your prayer now. Jesus promises: "He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come unto condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
